pp108 : Managing OTDS Trust

Managing OTDS Trust

This topic describes the procedure for configuring the OTDS Trust for inbound authentication.

Before you begin this task

To configure trust to either level, you must have one of the following roles:

Space

Role

Shared

Security System Administrator

Organization

Security Administrator

Note: Trust in the Shared space is applicable for all organizations and the one in the Organization space is applicable only for that organization. Hence, a specific role is required to configure trust in the Shared space.

To manage the inbound API to support OTDS authentication a specific OTDS Server and Resource must be trusted.

To configure OTDS trust:

  1. Open the OTDS Trust panel as follows:
    1. Click CUSP > My Applications >  (Security Administration). The Security Administration window appears and the Certificates tab is displayed by default.
    2. Click the Inbound Trust tab.
    3. Click the OTDS Trust tab.
  2. Configure trust as follows:
    1. Click Select Resource. The OTDS Resource selection window is displayed.
    2. Select a Resource and click OK.
    3. Click Save. The configuration is saved when the window is closed.

The selected Resource is trusted.

Note: Trust for the shared space can only be configured by the system administrator and therefore only in the system organization. This will be the default trusted Resource for all the organizations. If an organization administrator wants to configure his own trusted resource, he can overload the shared trust by selecting a Resource for the organization configuration.
